Just thought people would care about this, since I think the Falcons want Garza back, but aren't afraid to let him explore the market.

As far as I know, Green Bay is the first team for Garza to visit.

I really hope the Falcons can add one more veteran OL to help boost competition. And hopefully we can add 1 or 2 quality OL in the draft for depth and future development.

What I would love to see is the team sign Dan Neil and hopefully draft a guy like Nick Kaczur or Evan Mathis in Round 3.

As far as I'm aware, Neil has only garnered interest from Detroit.

I think we should be a little afraid cause is a solid player and we need him in our depth.
Last week, he has also visited the Baltimore Ravens. He should sign with them but he failed the medical tests cause one of his knees. I saw this on kffl.

Neil's injury concerns definitely have me a bit weary. Now I'm looking more for him in the short-term rather than a long-term piece. If the Falcons offered him a contract of 2 or 3 years would be fine, maybe even a 1 year deal.

I really believe that Neil is one of the best unheralded guards in the league, and the Falcons would be committed a grand heist if they got him for around the same price as we got Lehr.

And the longer it takes for him to sign somewhere else, the more it seems like Neil could be had at that price.

I've always thought Garza had the makings of a great center in the NFL because he had great strength for that position. As a guard, his strength wasn't anything special. I always thought if he could get the mental aspects of the OC position down, he would be an excellent starter there. His main problem was Reeves inability to get him there early on in his career, since he was constantly filling in for Claridge and other players at guard. So that this past summer was really only Garza's 2nd in 4 years in terms of working mostly at the center position.

The Bears aren't too happy with Olin Kreutz, so its possible that Garza may replace him in the near future. But it will depend on how well he plays at RG this year, if he starts.

He's a player that I liked because he could play all 3 interior positions, but he's a player that I think won't realize his full potential until he's moved permanently to center.
