Vick will practice and play this week

Postby Pudge » Tue Dec 28, 2004 10:56 am

Various news outlets are saying that Vick will play this week. I suspect however that Vick along with Crumpler, Webster, Duckett, Jasper, and all the other players held out this past week will only be limited this upcoming week. I would suspect that Vick will split reps with Schaub throughout the week.

We saw the Eagles pretty much yank most of their starters after one series, one quarter, or one half on Monday Night, and I suspect the Falcons will do the same. After all, between this past week's game and the first game of the playoffs will be about 3 weeksf, so the starters need to have some game playing time or that layoff will be too much to overcome.

Still I would be surprised if Schaub does not play at least 3 quarters vs. the Seahawks. If we can get Duckett back for a quarter or a half, it will help the running game a lot which should take needed pressure off Schaub.

i think they will all play but for how long i would not take to much of a chance but you dont want rust either
vick in for maybe the whole first quarter but that will be it
Seattle has much more to play for this weekend than we do
i would like to think that Duckett will play even if it is just for a few downs

i thnk that even Detmer should play a few reps just to get him out there in game play

it will be fun but waiting for the playoffs is the real fun right now

Well how exactly does that work with the 3rd QB? Isn't there something about once the #3 QB goes into the game, nobody else can go back in?

We'll see how it goes of course. But if Vick starts, it means Detmer is the #3. I don't know how that works.

But I agree, if the Falcons are up by a bit or down by a bit, and Schaub hasn't done a whole lot, then I say put Detmer in (if they are allowed) to see what he can do. I doubt very much he'd be an improvement over Schaub, but it's doubtful that he'll play otherwise, so might as well see what you got.

i think this could be fun
but what are the chances of a playoff rematch
this could be more than just a game for the falcons
it could be a second round game preview

seattle may not have won as many games as they had hoped
this year
but they are still a very talented team and will be tough to play

Best of Luck

Best of luck to the Falcons this week.

I really like your coach, I think he was a superb choice, of course I am biased he is a local alum.

Hopefully my Seahawks will get a rematch in the playoffs down the line!

Nice site by the way!

I can't speak for Smack, but from what I hear, the Dolphins will try to go after Alexander or James. I think the question I would have for Seahawk fans, is whom among Alexander or Hasselbeck is the team more likely to Franchise tag? Both are free agents.

I think James will make his decision on staying in Indy dependent on how far the Colts go in the playoffs. If not, then he would love to return home to Miami. At least that's what I'd expect from him.

If Alexander is tagged, he's stuck in Seattle.

I think Holmgren is on the hotseat, but with a playoff berth this year, it saved his job. But missing the playoffs in 2005 might cost him.

Pudge you are right on
but i dont see james leavin INDY
he would love to go back to south beach but i dont see it as
something that will really go
if i was seattle i but the tag on Alexander and take my chance with
Hasselback as a resign chance
but where does Holmgren go if he leaves seattle ?
