He was born on November 9, 1995 in Belleville, IL where he attended Belleville West High. As a true freshman at Wyoming, Hill started four of 12 games, leading the team with 796 rushing yards on 145 carries (5.5 avg) and seven touchdowns. He also added 13 catches for 204 yards (15.7 avg). As a sophomore he started 11 of 12 games and set the school's single-season rushing mark with 1,631 yards on his way to second team All-Mountain West honors. He finished the season with 281 carries for an average of 5.8 yards per carry with six touchdowns, as well as 20 catches for 132 yards (6.6 avg). As a junior he started 13 of 14 games and shattered his single-season rushing record. He finished the year with 1,860 yards on 349 carries (5.3 avg) and 22 touchdowns, both of which were single-season records at Wyoming. He also added eight catches for 67 yards (8.4 avg) and returned a single kickoff for 27 yards. He set all-time school records in carries (775), rushing yards (4,287) and touchdowns (35) before opting to forgo his senior season at Wyoming to enter the 2017 NFL Draft. He was selected by the Atlanta Falcons in the fifth round (156th overall) of the 2017 NFL Draft.
