Player Information

Chris James Redman was born on July 7, 1977 in Louisville, KY where he attended Male High. He enrolled into the University of Louisville, where he was a four-year starter. As a freshman, he completed 144 of 272 passes (52.9%) for 1773 yards, 8 touchdowns, and 9 interceptions. As a sophomore, he passed for 3079 yards, completing 261 of 445 attempts (58.7%), 18 scores, and 14 interceptions. In 1998, he earned 2nd team All-Conference-USA honors after passing for a career-high 4042 yards. He completed 309 of 473 attempts (65.3%) and threw 29 touchdowns and 15 interceptions. He earned 1st team All-Conference USA honors as a senior, as well as the league's offensive player of the year honors and the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award. He completed 317 of 489 attempts (64.8%) while throwing for 3647 yards, 29 touchdowns, and 13 interceptions. He set school records in all passing categories, and finished his career as the leader in NCAA history in completions and attempts, and second in passing yards. He was originally selected by the Baltimore Ravens in the 3rd round (75th overall) of the 2000 NFL Draft.
