Player Information

Deante Wayne Burton was born on July 12, 1994 and graduated from Manhattan (KS) High School. As a redshirt freshman at Kansas State, he appeared in nine games as a reserve and ended the season with zero receptions. As a sophomore, he started nine of 13 games, catching 17 passes for 171 yards (10.1 avg). He returned to start all 13 games as a junior and caught a team-leading 38 passes for 510 yards (13.4 avg) and four scores. As a senior he started all 13 games and caught 29 passes for 404 yards (13.9 avg) and a single score. He was also a two-time Academic All-Big 12 honoree, earning second-team honors as a sophomore and first-team honors as a senior. He originally signed with the Atlanta Falcons as an undrafted free agent after the 2017 NFL Draft.
