Garrett Bradley Grayson was born on May 29, 1991 in Vancouver, WA where he graduated from Heritage High School. His uncle Dan played linebacker for the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the CFL in 1992. As a true freshman at Colorado State, he started the final three games while making four total appearances. He finished the year with an 0-3 record as a starter, completing 43 of 77 passes (55.8 percent) for 542 yards, two touchdowns and six interceptions. He also added 193 rushing yards on 47 carries (4.1 avg) and one touchdown. He started the first five games as a sophomore, leading the Rams to a 1-4 record before breaking his clavicle. He managed to play in one more game for a total of six that season. He finished the year completing 78 of 138 passes (56.5 percent) for 946 yards, seven touchdowns and three interceptions. He rushed for 17 yards on 39 carries (0.4 avg) and one touchdown as well. He returned as a junior to start all 14 games, leading his team to an 8-6 record. He completed 297 of 478 passes (62.1 percent) for 3,696 yards, 23 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. He also added 119 rushing yards on 69 carries (1.7 avg) and two more touchdowns, while also catching a pair of passes for minus-eight yards (-4.0 avg). His senior year saw him start all 13 games, leading his team to a 10-3 record on his way to earn Mountain West Offensive PLayer of the Year and first-team All-Conference honors. He completed 270 of 420 passes (64.3 percent) for 4,006 yards, 32 touchdowns and seven interceptions. He rushed for minus-46 yards on 57 carries (-0.8 avg) and caught a single pass for a 39-yard touchdown. He finished his career as Colorado State’s all-time leader in passing yards, touchdowns, completions and completion percentage. He was originally drafted in the third round (75th overall) of the 2015 NFL Draft.
