John Parker Wilson was born on October 17, 1985 in Hoover, AL where he attended Hoover High. As a redshirt freshman at Alabama, he appeared in 5 games as a reserve, completing 7 of 11 passes (63.6%) for 98 yards and 2 scores. He assumed the starting position the following year, starting in all 13 game appearances. He completed 216 of 379 passes (57%) for 2707 yards, 17 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions.
