He was born on January 19, 1994 in Homestead, FL and graduated from Miami (FL) Southridge High School. As a true freshman at Robert Morris, he started nine of 10 games at cornerback and tallied 58 tackles, three interceptions, six pass breakups, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery on his way to earning second team All-NEC and NEC Defensive Rookie of the Year honors. He started all 11 games as a sophomore, recording 59 tackles, one interception, seven pass breakups, one forced fumble, two recoveries and a blocked kick. Redshirted the following year and came back to start 11 games at cornerback as a junior. He finished the year with 63 tackles, two tackles for loss, one interception and three pass breakups on his way to earn first-team All-NEC honors. He would once again make first team All-NEC as a senior, splitting time at cornerback (three starts) and free safety (eight) on his way to starting all 11 games. He recorded 71 tackles, 0.5 for loss, two interceptions, five pass breakups and returned one blocked kick for a touchdown. During his career he also returned a single punt for 13 yards. He was originally signed as an undrafted rookie free agent by the Atlanta Falcons following the 2017 NFL Draft.
