Paul Eric Worrilow was born on May 1, 1990 in Wilmington, DE where he attended Concord High. He enrolled at Coffeyville (KS) Community College out of high school, but never played. He transferred to Delaware where he walked onto the team as a freshman. He started 11 games at outside linebacker and recorded 60 tackles, 4 for loss, 1 pass breakup, and 2 fumble recoveries that year. He started 15 games the following year at outside linebacker and was the team leader in tackles with 113. He also recorded 9.5 tackles for loss, 2 sack, 3 pass breakups, 2 forced fumbles, and 2 fumble recoveries on his way to 3rd team All-CAA honors. Both of his fumble recoveries were taken back for touchdowns. As a junior, he started all 11 games he appeared in, including 2 at middle linebacker before returning to outside linebacker due to injury. He finished the year with a team-leading 97 tackles, as well as 11 tackles for loss, 1 sack, 1 interception, 2 pass breakups, 1 forced fumble, and 1 recovery. He would be named to the All-CAA 2nd team as well as the CAA Academic Honor Roll. As a senior, he started 10 of 10 games mostly at outside linebacker and once again led the team in tackles. He finished the year with 107 tackles, 9 for loss, 3 sacks, 2 pass breakups, and 1 forced fumble. He would earn 1st team All-CAA honors his final year. He was originally signed by the Atlanta Falcons as an undrafted rookie free agent in 2013.
