Quincy Dee Mauger was born on March 4, 1995 and graduated from Kell High in Marietta, GA. His last name is pronounced: mo-ZHAY. As a true freshman he logged seven starts in 13 games at free safety. He finished the year with 57 tackles, one tackle for loss, one interception, one pass breakup and one forced fumble. He started seven of 13 games at strong safety the following year, recording 51 tackles, one for loss, four interceptions and four pass breakups. He was honorable mention All-SEC that season. He moved to “left” safety as a junior, logging 12 starts in 13 games. He recorded 58 tackles, 3.5 for loss, 0.5 sacks and five pass breakups. He was also named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll that season. As a senior, he started two of 13 games at “right” safety. He finished with 19 tackles, two interceptions and two breakups. He was originally signed as an undrafted rookie free agent by the Atlanta Falcons following the 2017 NFL Draft.
