He was born on November 22, 1996 and graduated from Redemptorist High in Baton Rouge, LA. As a true freshman at LSU, he played in two games as a reserve defensive back, recording one tackle on defense and one on special teams. He made one appearance as a sophomore, but did not record any statistics. He moved to wide receiver prior to his junior season and saw an immediate increase in reps. He started four of 11 games that year, finishing the year with five receptions for 62 yards (12.4 avg) and a touchdown. He also added six tackles on special teams. He started two of 13 games as a senior, catching 21 passes for 285 yards (13.6 avg) and three touchdowns. He also had 28 rushing attempts for 232 yards (8.3 avg) and another touchdown and attempted a single pass that was incomplete. He recorded 11 tackles and also recovered a fumble on special teams. He was selected by the Atlanta Falcons in the sixth round (194th overall) of the 2018 NFL Draft.
