Tyler William Sambrailo was born on March 10, 1992 in Watsonville, CA. He attended St. Francisc Catholic High in Mountain View, CA. As a redshirt freshman at Colorado State, he started seven games at strong-side (or right) tackle. He moved all over the offensive line as a sophomore, starting 10 of 12 games at four different positions. He began the season with two starts at left tackle before making five starts at left guard. He finished the season with a start at right guard and a pair of starts at right tackle. He settled in as the full-time left tackle as a junior, starting all 14 games that year on his way to earn second-team All-Mountain West honors. He earned first team honors as a senior with 11 starts, missing two games due to a knee injury. He was originally drafted by the Denver Broncos in the second round (59th overall) of the 2015 NFL Draft.
