Anthony Tyson Jackson was born on June 6, 1986 in New Orleans, LA. He attended West St. John High in Edgard, LA before enrolling at Louisiana State University. He appeared in 12 games as a redshirt freshman, tallying 13 tackles, 2 tackles for loss, 2 sacks, and 5 quarterback hurries. As a sophomore, he started 12 of 14 games at left defensive end. He finished the year with 37 tackles, 10 for loss, 8.5 sacks, 6 hurries, 4 pass breakups, 1 interception and a forced fumble. As a junior, he started all 14 games at left end. Contract details

Signed a five-year $57 million deal with $31 million guaranteed with the Chiefs in 2009 ... Lowered his base salary from $8.05 million to $4.25 million in 2012 ... Lowered his base salary in 2013 from $14.72 million to $4.2 million as part of his new restructure ... Signed a five-year deal worth $25 million with Falcons in 2014. That deal included $9.5 million in guaranteed money, including a $8 million signing bonus. The remaining guaranteed portion of his contract is his 2014 base salary, which is $1.5 million. His other base salaries are: $2.25 million (2015); $4.25 million (2016); and $3.5 million (2017 and 2018). $1.5 million of his 2015 base salary will become guaranteed on the third day of the 2015 league year, potentially giving him $11 million in total guarantees.
