D.J. Shockley suffered a sprained knee in Friday night’s preseason victory over the Buffalo Bills. Shockley’s injury occurred late in the game after leading the Falcons down the field for what would eventually be the game-winning drive. Chris Redman finished the drive with a 1-yard scoring pass to tight end George Cooper.
The severity of Shockley’s injuries are currently unknown, but he will undergo further tests and an MRI on Sunday to assess the extent of the damage to his knee.
Shockley has been vying with Redman for the backup quarterback position during training camp and preseason.
