Atlanta Falcons running back Jason Snelling was arrested outside Atlanta for possession of marijuana early Friday morning according to Lona Panther of the Barrow County News. At approximately 3:35 am, Snelling’s SUV was seen swerving in its lane on Friday morning, and was pulled over for a routine traffic stop. After being questioned following the officer sensing a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle, Snelling admitted that he had been smoking earlier in the evening at a friend’s home and that there was trace amounts of marijuana within the vehile.
During the further search of the vehicle, Snelling was reportedly seen swallowing excessively and suspected of eating marijuana. Snelling faced additional charges upon his booking including an expired driver’s license, and failure to maintain insurance and vehicle registration. Since his arrest, he was released on bond.
Snelling was limited in practice this week due to a knee injury, and missed Friday’s practice due to his arrest.
