Tarleton State receiver on Falcons radar

March 23rd, 2010

Tarleton State wide receiver Devin Guinn told Greg Jaklewicz of the Abilene Reporter News in a report about the pro day of Abilene Christian that he has had contact with the Atlanta Falcons.

Guinn participated at Abilene Christian’s pro day. It’s not confirmed whether the Falcons had representatives on hand to view Guinn and other players’ workouts.

Guinn holds records in receiving yards and receiving touchdowns at Division II Tarleton State. This past year he shined as an offensive weapon having a career high 70 receptions for 1,019 yards (14.6 avg) and 8 touchdowns. He also returned 25 punts for 260 yards (10.4 avg) and a touchdown.

Another prominent name that worked out at the pro day was Abilene Christian offensive tackle Tony Washington. He measures 6’7″ 310 pounds and ran a 5.09 40. He had an impressive Combine, ranking among the top offensive linemen in the bench press, vertical jump, broad jump, and 3-cone drill, indicators of his athleticism. Washington also has made headlines due to the recent revelation that he is a registered sex offender in the state of Texas.

You can view highlights of Guinn’s career on YouTube.
