The Lexington Herald-Leader reports that the Falcons will conduct a private workout of Kentucky quarterback Andre Woodson next week. Woodson participated in his school’s pro day workout today in front of several scouts from 25 teams. The Falcons were not among them according to the Courier-Journal.
Woodson measured in at 6’4″ 229 pounds at the Combine two weeks ago. He did not participate in any drills due to injury issues. He was still battling a slightly pulled hamstring today, but managed to still run a 40-yard dash time of 4.8 according to both reports. He also managed to complete 16 of 20 passes in his workout.
Woodson, once perceived as one a potential first round pick, has seen his stock drop in recent months due to a less than stellar performance at the Senior Bowl in January. He’s been criticized for his slow release, something that he reportedly has only modified slightly since. This past season, Woodson threw for 3,709 yards, 40 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions.
